Sarah Alice Caldwell (1878-1971), the fourth child and second daughter of William T.Caldwell and Sarah Chamberlain, was always called Alice. She married George R. Joynt (1873-1915), the son of Thomas Joynt and Ellen Rogers, in 1907. They moved to Hensall, where they lived in a two-storey house on the south side of the village's main street. George died of pneumonia, leaving Alice with three young sons, Laird, six, Henry, four, and William, two years old.
Robert Laird Borden Joynt (1909-1982) attended the University of Western Ontario and became an accountant and senior executive with Eastman Kodak in Toronto. George Henry Caldwell Joynt (1911-1990), known as Harry, was a medical doctor and surgeon who practiced in London and Toronto. He died of a heart attack. William Thomas Joynt (1913-1973) graduated in dentistry. He joined the staff of the Ontario hospital in Orillia and was later transferred to London. George, Alice and William rest in Hensall Union Cemetery.
